The Swedish State Museums of World Culture operate four different museums in Stockholm and Gothenburg. In 2024, I was asked by the Head of Programs to create a lecture series on the sensory world of scent, intended for the Museum of Near-Eastern Mediterranean Antiquities in Stockholm. Under the title “With a scent of…“, the series has presented historical perfumery raw materials from the museum’s geographical focal regions.

Created in collaboration with world-renowned raw material producers IFF and Laboratoire Monique Rémy, each lecture explores a natural raw material, its chemical components, cultural history and role in contemporary perfumery. So far, the series has been a tremendous success, with all lectures selling out far ahead of their respective dates in the museum’s program calendar.
