Please note that this lecture is given in Swedish
The iris flower and its powdery-scented roots are among the most expensive and sought-after raw materials in the perfume industry, with its historical production in Italy and France making its fragrance a symbol of the northwestern Mediterranean.
In this lecture, you will learn about the history of iris, as well as how it is cultivated and used in the perfume industry. In collaboration with the world-leading raw material producers Laboratoire Monique Rémy and IFF, we will sample both raw materials and isolated fragrance molecules, alongside a selection of contemporary perfume interpretations from Nordiska Kompaniet.
